CAMBRIDGE, MASS—Metabolix Launches Dynamic Web Site

Metabolix (NASDAQ: MBLX) is an innovation-driven bioscience company focused on providing sustainable solutions for the world's needs for plastics, chemicals, and energy. The company is now developing and commercialing Mirel™ bioplastics, a sustainable and biodegradable alternative to petroleum-based plastics.

Metabolix had a new logo, messaging, and brand image, but it was not leveraged in its web site. In addition, they had frequently changing content and video that would benefit from a content management system (CMS). Barrett's team collaborated with Metabolix to develop an improved site architecture, design wireframes, and a custom specification for a content management system. The new web site was launched in June 2008 and the Phase 2 content management system was launched in January 2009.
